The marriage license of Sarah Hinton and Abednago Leary shows that: John Hinton, brother of Sarah Hinton, appeared before the Rockingham County magistrate on August 18, 1806, and provided a sworn statement that his sister was 'upwards of twenty one years old'. The marriage license also shows that Sarah Hinton is a daughter of Joseph Hinton.
Sarah married Abednego Leary, son of John Leary Sr. and Margaret, on 19 Aug 1806 in Rockingham County, Virginia. (Abednego Leary was born in 1784 in Prince William County, Virginia 152 and died in 1853 in Rockingham, Virginia.)
