Fae and his brother, Kenneth, changed their name from Gaetzke to Walker sometime before 1929. This was their mother's maiden name. They changed their name because of the anti-German sentiment after WWI.
Fae died of a heart attack.
Fae married Isabella Julia Rudaitis, daughter of Konstantine Rudaitis and Ona Lasdauskus, on 6 Apr 1931 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.
